We have a dream. A dream that is bigger than us – a dream that is bigger than where we are now, physically and spiritually. God is calling us to grow and expand. This is why we have purchased 6.8 acres in Silverdale’s Gateway area, Lot 3, Small Road.

Isaiah 54:2-3 says; “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not. Lengthen your cords, strengthen your pegs. For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left. Your descendants will posses nations and they will resettle the desolate cities.”

The dream is…

We see a church building, contemporary and stylish with a children’s church area, a kitchen, offices for staff, and seating for 400 plus. We see our Alternative Education School on the land, growing in number and accommodating differing styles of education. There is a café, Art Gallery, Relaxing Garden Areas, music and art school, sport and recreation facilities and an after-school programme. We see the site being maximised 7 days a week. Church life is not just a Sunday event.

Eventually we see a 1000 plus seat auditorium, conference centre, church venue with parking for over 500 cars. It is a growing, progressive dream developing in stages over a period of time, but it starts right here, right now!

Getting involved

It is God’s plan to build the church, is it yours? God uses ordinary people like you and me, get excited – no one needs to be excluded! That is why we have ‘Build The Dream”. Part of the strategy of Build The Dream is a specific account to which we can all contribute by the way of financial gifts and pledges. It’s not about equal giving, it’s about equal sacrifice. We all can have a part to play. We can all share in building the dream. Genesis 28:16,17 “And then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said “Surely the Lord is in this place and I did not know it” and he was afraid and said “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God and this is the gate of heaven”.

Together we can Build The Dream.

Why Build the Dream?

Build the Dream is about building our own church on our own land. The Church becomes its own landlord. We are positioned for the future; for growth and success. Although the current building that we rent serves its purpose, it is too small for the vision that God has given for C3 Church Hibiscus Coast.

So Coast Christian City Church Trust purchased 6 acres of land in the Gateway area of Silverdale. Lot 3 Small Road. Some exciting developments have taken place since we first bought the land in September 2002. We purchased the land for $295,000 including GST, paying a third up front, (which we borrowed), and negotiating a year’s interest free period before paying the balance.

During this time we saw people give generously. In the last 2½ years we have paid off some of what owed and currently owe around $130,000. We have also done some earthworks for a building site, drawn up plans and laid power, phone and water from the road to the building site. Something that is awesome that has happened in the last 2½ years is that the value of our land, and the other land in the gateway area has rocketed, and we own a piece of land worth around 1.5 million dollars!

The equity in the land for us is huge. God’s timing with prompting us to buy this piece of land was great. To buy in this area now for us would have been difficult!
